RESOLUTION ACCEPTING VARIOUS DONATIONS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT
STAFF TO ATTEND OUT-OF-STATE CONFERENCE AND TRAININGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 04-20 on 16, 2004, which
established a policy for the receipt of gifts; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution states that a gift of real or personal property must be
accepted by the City Council by Resolution and be approved by a two-thirds majority of
the Council. A cash donation must be acknowledged and accepted by motion with a
simple majority.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of
Golden Valley:
1.Accepts $2,655.94 from the World Police Summit Conference In Dubai May 13-15
2023. For conference registration, airfare and logging.
2. Accepts $3,540.00 from the National Association of School Resource Officers Annual
Conference July 14-19, 2024. For conference registration, airfare and logging.
3.Extends their heartfelt gratitude to the community members, businesses, and
organizations who generously donated their time and financial support to programs that
help bridge the gap for human service needs in the community and provide financial
support for youth to participate in recreational and educational activities, programs,
athletics, lessons, and events in a safe, supportive, and positive environment.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota on this 15th day of
April 2025.
