GVHSF MINUTES 09-21-1994 GOLDEN VALLEY HUMAN SERVICES FOUNDATION MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 21, 1994 HELD IN THE LOWER LEVEL CONFERENCE ROOM 1, CITY HALL MEMBERS PRESENT: Sue Virnig, Staff; Don Anderson; Jack Cole; Ruth Heaner; Cal Stoll; Elissa Heilicher; Gloria Johnson; David Albersman; Vern Montroy; Jay Hoffman; MEMBERS ABSENT: Jennifer Smith; The action plan for the Arts and Crafts Sale was discussed as follows: A. On Monday, December 5th, the clean up committee and any volunteers will meet at 10:00 AM for the purpose of: 1. Dust mop/clean the floors as needed. 2. Clean the windows 3. Tape with masking tape 52 vendor stations on the floor, tape station numbers on the walls. If needed, finish taping on December 7th. 4. Post other signs as available. B. The people volunteers needed: 1. One person to receive the rented chairs and tables on December 8th. 2. One person to check in vendors at 8:00AM Friday, December 9th. 3. 4-6 volunteers to set up "tables and chairs at vendor stations at 6: 30 PM December 8th. Also attach station numbers where applicable. 4. On December 9 and 10th, front door check in of buyers who get "stamped", lOAM. 5. Food sellers for both days (Gloria Johnson has roster of persons and times.) 6. On December 9 and 10th, rear door check in of vendors starting at 8:00 AM. 7. Persons to clean off rest table and police floors as needed both days. 8. Persons to dust mop floors and general clean up after closing Friday. 9. Person to set alarm system and secure building after closing. 10. Person to collect monies from food vendors and front door collections and secure in the safe both Friday night and Saturday closing time. 11. People to clean up the site after closing Saturday - removing trash to the dumpsters, dust mop floors, prepare the tables and chairs (account for) ready for pick up. C. Items needed: 1. Cardboard boxes with plastic bag liners for garbage. (Elissa H.) 2. Dust mop (City furnishes) 3. Window cleaning wand and squeeze, pail and cleaner. (City has available.) 4. Several rolls of I" masking tape. 5. No smolting signs to be posted in the building. 6. Extra tag board/paper available to make signs as needed. 7. A hot pot to cook hot dogs. (David Albersman) 8. Cellular phone - Sue Virnig 9. Toilet tissue (4 rolls), soap (bar), and paper towelsdor rest room. (Sue V.) 10. Aprons for money collectors at door and 2 for food vendors. (6+ aprons). 11. One 8' table will be used (with chairs) for eating table. D. Food items: Elissa Heilicher, subuommittee chairperson; 1. Coffee, lemonade, and cups - donated by NSI Griswold Co. 2. 24 dozen donuts; 24 dozen cookies, 30 dozen hotdog buns, catsup, mustard and napkins - New Market at 25% discount + they will donate $20 to Foundation. (Napkins to be donated by Country House). 3. Potato chips (120 bags donated) purchase 120 bags - Elissa Heilicher 4. Popcorn machine, corn, oil, salt and bags donated by Park and Rck. dept. 5; Pepsi diet and regular - purchased at $9. per tank with machine including cups. Order 2 tanks of each. Cable channel 37 - community bulletin board. 3. Channel 11 PR - Elissa Heilicher 4. Window painters - (Local art schools) Jennifer Smith F. Old Business: 1. Tupperware vendor: Member Ruth Heaner wished to express her opl.nl.on for the record that the Tupperware vendor approved by the foundation board at the last meeting, should not have been approved, as in her opin~on, they did not meet the vendor guidelines as published.
