event. Assignments for solicitations are as follows: Elissa- Einstein bagels, coffee and juice, Karen-
Perkins and Valley Pastry, Mary Anne- Cub and Rainbow, Hilmer- the SA on Duluth Street, Teri- fruit
from Golden Valley Country Club. We will conduct a contest for a logo design for the shirts, which
will be announced in the Golden Valley city newsletter. If the contest doesn't yield a good design, Sue
will ask Bob Lang to modify last year's design.
The golf tournament is scheduled for September 16, but we may hold it on Monday, September 11, if
there would be more participation. A Monday tournament would have to be in a staggered tee time
format. A survey will be sent to hole sponsors asking for preference on dates. This year's sponsors
were divided between members for thank-you cards to be sent.
December Meeting: The December GVHSF meeting is cancelled. A January meeting will be held as
usual.
Grant Awards: The Golden Valley city council approved the foundation's recommendations for
funding area non-profits as presented by Teri. Golden Valley city employees donated $2,000 for the
foundation.
