GOLDEN VALLEY HUMAN SERVICES FOUNDATION
Minutes of the April 15, 2002 Meeting
Golden Valley City Council Conference Room
Members Present: Terri DeVeau, Elissa Heilicher, Karen Neis, Mary Anne Moore, Hilmer Erickson, Carrol
Gatlin, Gloria Johnson, Danitra Easton-Hage, Carolyn Fiterman and Sue Virnig.
Not Present: Chad Svihel and Larry Kennebeck
Run the Valley packets were prepared from 6:00 to 6:40 p.m.
Can to Order: Terri DeVeau called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.
Auuroval of March Minutes: The minutes were approved unanimously.
I Run the Valley - April 20, 2002
We reviewed last minute details for the event. We will not have the Blue Sky coupon book.
Course RoutelRegistration Layout - The event will begin near the small picnic shelter in Brookview Park
(same as previous years.) Signage: Mary Anne will print some banners directing participants to the proper
tables and Terri will provide sign posts.
Volunteers - The YMCA will provide approximately 8 volunteers, and we will have at least 6 GVHSF
members. The Minneapolis Crisis Nursery will provide 5 volunteers and Liberty will provide 3 volunteers.
Media - Cable 12 will attend and conduct interviews at 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. Mary Anne will handle the
media.
Food Donations -
Fruit - Sam's Club - 500 apples
Donuts/bagels - we will need at least 50 dozen.
Valley Pastries - 20 dozen Delicious Donuts- 3 dozen
SuperAmerica on Duluth- 14 dozen Old Fashioned - 3 dozen
Yogurt - Y oplait will deliver to Brookview
Water - 25 cases donated by Perrier
Coffee - Jimmy Jingle will deliver 2 urns by 7:30 a.m.
Rainbow - 25 doz.
Einstein Bagels - 5 dozen
I Golden Valley Classic Golf Event
Terri has acquired items for the golf packets given to each participant.
Adiournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
