This included several “solutions” to analyze the extent of improvements that may be needed to address the flooding issues for homes surrounding the ponds and on Medicine Lake Road east of Winnetka Avenue. The improvements ranged from providing additional ponding to store runoff and reduce flooding, to bypassing portions of the watershed away from DeCola Ponds. Golden Valley staff met with staff from the Cities of Crystal and New Hope to discuss the preliminary findings. Due to time constraints, a follow up meeting has been scheduled with the affected cities to further discuss the preliminary study findings.
