The open house mostly focused on the segment of trail that will be constructed through the cities of New Hope and Crystal. The Three Rivers Park District is currently applying for federal funding for the construction of that trail segment. Golden Valley staff was in attendance at the open house. Ultimately, the Three Rivers Park District envisions the trail to connect French Regional Park to Theodore Wirth Park via Golden Valley. However, the Golden Valley trail segment would be the final phase of the project. For more information about planning for the Bassett Creek Regional Trail, please visit www.threeriversparkdistrict.org. Bottineau Transitway Hennepin County hosted an open house for the proposed Bottineau Transitway on Tuesday evening at the Courage Center. Golden Valley staff attended this open house to gather information and speak with residents. The several residents who did attend raised concern over access to a possible transit station at Golden Valley Road. The County is still in the preliminary planning phase for the Bottineau Transitway, and has yet to select a preferred alignment. Environmental data and public input gathered over the next year will help to determine what alignment is selected. The County plans to hold a workshop for Golden Valley residents in the fall. Up-to-date information about this project will continue to be posted on the City’s website and at www.bottineautransitway.org. The Three.Nine.Four Development Attached is the latest rendering for the proposed Three.Nine.Four development at the intersection of Highway 100 and Interstate 394. If constructed, the development would have a 149-unit senior housing building and a 212-unit market rate apartment building. The developer is still in negotiations with the Housing and Redevelopment Authority to receive official endorsement for this project. If endorsed, the developer hopes to begin the planning approval process later this summer. DeCola Ponds See update from City Engineer
