REGULAR MEETING OF THE
GOLDEN VAL�EY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

A regular meeting of the Golden Valley Board of loning Appeals
was held on Tuesday , July 12, 1966, at 7 :30 p,m, at the Golden
Va11ey Civic Center , 7800 Gotden Valiey Road, Gaiden Vaitey,
Minnesota . Chairman Velz presided and the following m�nbers
were present : Anderson, Christiansen and Jensen. Also present
were Senstad, Schmid and Phyllis Jordah1 .
APPROVA� OF MTNUTES
MOVED by Christiansen, seconded by �ensen to approve the minutes
of June 14, 1966, carried unanimousiy.
ELECTION OF SECRETARY
MOVED by Christiansen, seconded by Anderson to appoint Ofito Schmid
as secretary of the Golden Valley Board of Zoning Appeals, carried
unanimously.

This petition is being withdrawn at the reqUest of the petitioner
as fihey inte�d to construct in Conformance with the Village Code.
66-7- 17 Bill Webster (23 ) 8155 Wayzata Boulevard
The petition is for the waiver of Section 3 .02, 1 a � b, of the
Zoning Code for a proposed double bungalow, The property does
not directly abut a heavier use distric�, but is across the
highway from a Cor�nercial District.
7he Board feels that it would be desireable that this doub1e
bungaiow couid be served by public sewer, if at all possibte, rather
than by private system,
MOVEDk� Jensen, seconded by Anderson to approve the waiver ,
carried unanimously.
66-7-19 Norm � Nietsen ( 17 ) 6817 Kingston Circle
The petition is for the waiver of Section 3. 07 of the Zoning
Regulations for a sid�yard setback. The petitioner desires a
waiver of 1 foot to a setback of 14 feet fflr a chimney on a
single famity dwel1ing .
Since it is an odd shaped lot and for the chimney only, it is a
unique c�ndition.
MOVED by Jensen, seconded by Anderson to approve the sideyard
waiver, carried with 3 yeas, i nay.

The petiti � is for the waiver of Section 3.07 of the Zoning
Regutations for a frontyard setback, The petitioner desires a
waiver of $ feet to a setback of 27 feet, the corner of the
addition protrudes into the frontyard,
This matter was deferred for one month as the pe�tioner wishes
to redesign the structure in view of the �onversation with the
Board,
A moti�n for adjournment was entertained at 9:30 p.m.
