GOL�EN VALLEY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
August 9, 1966
A regular meeting of the Golden Valley Bflard �f Zoning Appeals
was held on Tuesday , August 9, 1966, at 7:30 p.m, at the G�tden
Va11ey Civic Center , 7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley,
Minnes�ta. Chairman Vetz presided an� the f�i1owing members were
present : Anderson , Christiansen, Jensen , & Swedberg . Also
present were Lynch, Schmid and Phyltis �ordaht .
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Moved by Christiansen, seconded by Jensen to approve the minutes �f
July 12, 19b6, carried unanimously.
55-g-2o Charles T. Hvass ( 17 ) 6478 Westchester Circle
The petition is for the waiver of Section 3 . 07 flf the Zoning
Regulations fflr a frontyard setback.
MOVED by Jensen, seconded by Anderson tfl approve a waiver of
42 feet to a frontyard setback of 302 feet for the addition of a
three car garage carried unanimously. The 8oard felt that since
the unusual curvature of the street was involved and only �ne
corner of the buitding needed th� waiver , it was proper t� grant it .

The petition is for the waiver of Secti�n 3 .07 of the Z�ning
Regulations for a sideyard setback. The petitioner desires a waiver
�f 9 feet to a setback of 2n feet on an existing home and a
waiver �f 10 feet to a setback of 25 feet �n a new sing1e garage.

carried unanim�usly.
66-8-22 Olaf M Horgan ( 11 ) 2400 Douglas Drive
7he petitifln is for the waiver of Secti�n 3. �7 of the Z�ning C�de
for a sideyard setback from the street right of way. The petitioner
desires a waiver af 2.2 feet to a setback flf 32 .� feet on the
existing dwelling and a 10 fo�t waiver to a sideyard setback of
25 feet on a proposed addition.
The Board deferred action on this matter pending some legat
clarification.

The petition is for the waiver of 5ection 5.06 of the Zoning C�de,
sideyard and backyard setbacks . The petitioner desires a waiver of
3a feet to a setback �f 20 feet forthe sideyard fln an existing
building and a waiver of 442 feet rearyard setback on a proposed
bay and storage area and a 20 foot waiver on a sideyard setback.
The Board deferred action on this matter, hQping that the pro-
ponent could come up with a more suitable plan.

The petifii�ner desires a waiver of 3b feet fio a setback af 39
feet and a 55z f��t waiver �n the rearyard setback to a setback
�f 19z fee� .
MOVED by Jensen, seconded by A�derson to approve the waiver ,
recognizing that there is an odor pr�blem, which shc>uld be
cflrrected, carried with one abstaining . The appr�val is based
fln fihe adjacent land being Light Industria1 in the future.
