A regutar meeting �f the Gotden Valley B�ard �f Zoning Appeals was
held on Tuesday Oct�ber 10, 1967 at 7:30 p.m, at the Golden Vatley
Civic Center , 7�00 Golden Valley R�ad , Golden Valiey, Minnesota.
Chairman Christiansen presided and the f�ll �wing members were present :
Jensen, Anders�n, Bruch, Als�a present were Dan Lynch and Jon Westiake.

MOVED by Bruch, seconded by Jensen, unanimously carried t� appr�ve
the minutes of September 12, 1967,

� The petition is f�r the waiver �of Secti�n 5.06 (A) �f 18 � t� a front
yard setback �f 17� f�r the pump island on the South side. A waiver
�f 7' t� a fr*�nt yard setback �f 28� on the East side f�r pr�posed
additi�n �f buitding, and a waiver of 13 ' to a fr�nt yard setback
�f 22 � f�r pr�posed pr�truding wing wall �n the East side. Als�
the following requirements �f said secti�n 5. 06 which the prop�nent
has requested t� be waived,

MOVED by Anderson, sec�nded by Bruch, unanim�usly carried to deny
the waiver . The b�ard nc�ted that at the present time, the site dfles
n�t c�mply with the �rdinance. Theref�re, the b�aard recommends that
the pr�p�nent attempt t� correct the existing situati�n; that is, t�
m�re c�mpty with the �rdinance.

The petiti�n is f�r the waiver �f Section 5.�5 Q� � ' t� a �r��nt yard
setback �f 34� �n the S�uth b�undary tine �f G�tden Vailey and
Sfi , L�uis Park for a pr�p�sed additi�n ta the building. (As per
bui lding plans 9- t -b7 for Sc�utheast cc�rner �nly. ) �A1s� a waiver �f
20� t� a frc�nt yard setback of 15 � for existing building, '
MOVED by Jensen, seconded by Anderson, unanimously carried to appr�ve
ttte waiver as requested. The B�ard n�ted that the existing buiiding
was previously waived by the Village Council ,

The petiti�n is f�r the waiver �f Secti �n 3. 07 �f 5.2 ' t� a side yard
setback of 7 � f*�r a pr�posed garage �n the S�uth side �f an existing �
h�use.
MOVED by Anders�n, sec�nded by Bruch, unanim�usly carried tfl approve
the waiver .

The petition is f�r the waiver �f Secti�n 3 ,02- 1 for tw� famity
dwellings. After considerable discussion regarding the property and
the area : surrounding this property a m�ti�n was made.
MOVED by Anderson, sec�nded by Bruch t� deny the applicati�n as a
result �f the vote, 2 yeas and 2 nay. The motion was n�t carried,

The petition is for the waiver of Secti �n 3.Oa �f l7' t� a fr�nt yard
setback �f 18� �n the West side; and 34� t� a front yard setback of
1 ' �n the N�rth side. A1so a waiver �f Secti�n 3 . 1'2- t for "Detached
accessory buitding shatl be located wholty to the rear of the house
�r main building to which it is incidental . " For a proposed d�uble
garage.
The Board asked t�o defer this item f�r one month to see if the prop�nent
c�uld work with his contractor to conform with the ordinance.
A m�ti�n was entertained for adj�urnment at 10: 15 p.m.
