BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
March 12, 1968
A regular meeting of the Golden Valley Baard of Zoning Appeals was held
Tuesday, March 12, 1968 at 7:3� p.m. at the Golden Valley Civa.c Center,
7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota. Board appointed
chairmarz pro tem, Anderson, presided and the following members were
present: Hoover. Alternates: Franzen, Swanson and Swedberg, Also

mi.nutes of February 13, 1968.

The petition is for the waiver of Section 3.�7 - (3-e) of 1.3 feet to a
sideyard setback of 10.8.feet off the South property line of the proposed
housa (required sideyard 12.2 feet) .
MOVED by Hoover, seconded by �`ranzen, carried unanimously� to approve the
waiver.

The petition is for the waiver of Section 13.02 (D) for 10 feet of
landscaping to a sideyard landscaped area of 0� off the East _property

The petitioners notified the Secretary that they wished to have their
petition removed from the agenda.

MOVED by Swedberg, seconded by Hoover, carried unanimously to deny the
petitioners request since there is no apparent hardship.

MOVED by Swanson., seconded by Franzen, unanimously ca�ried to deny the
request. The Board noted that the building is of such size that the parcel
of 2and should be Iarger in relation to the building.

The petition is for the waiver of Section 3.07 - (3) of 8 feet to a sideyard
setback of 7 feet off the West property line for an addition to the present
garage.
M OVED by Hoover, seconded by Swedberg, unanimausly carried to grant a
building permit with the .following stipulations:
l. The rear wall of the proposed garage will not extend further
than the existing rear wall of the present garage,
2. The front wall of the proposed garage shal.l be 3 feet or more to
the North of the present garage face.
3. The West side wall of the proposed garage shall be 8 feet or
less from the West side wall of the present garage.
�. The height of the proposed garage will not exceed the height
of the present garage.
s• The proposed addition to the garage wi11 be completely �overed
by landscaping (no portion of the proposed 5t2`l1CtUSE will be
above ground when completed) .
