REGULAR. MEETING OF THE
GOLDEN VALLEY BOARD OF ZONING A:PPEALS
September 11, 1968
A regular meeting of the Golden Valley Board of Zoning Appeals wa� held
Wednesday, September 11, 1968 at 7;30 p.m. at the Golden Valley Civic Center,
7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota. Chairman pro tem Jenssn
presided and the following members were present; Bruch, Anderson. Al.ternate:
Swedberg. A1so present was Jon Westlake.
APPROVAL OF MII�UTES
MOVED by Anderson, seconded by Bruch, unanimously carried to approve the
minutes of August 13, 1968. '
68-9-37 2501 Kyle Avenue No. (5) James' E. Lieder
The petition is for the waiver of Section
3•�7-C3) for 10' of a proposed double garage' to a sideyard setback
r�f 5� off the North property line. (required 15� sideyard
s etback)
The petitioner notified the secretary and asked to have this matter deferred
for further study of the proposed garage.

The petition is for the waiver of Section
5.05 A (1) for 25� of landscaping to a front yaxd landscaped area
of 10� off U.S. Highway #12 Service road. (South
property line) Required 35� of land'scaping.
5.05 B for 10� of landscaping to a side yard landscaped area of
O�off a portion of the North property line. (Extending
East 75� from Hampshire Avenue) Required 10� of
landscaping.
The secretary was notified by the petitioner that the revised layout plan
will be within the requirements of the Code.

The petition is for the waider of Section
3.07-(1) for 33� of a proposed double garage to a front yard set-
back of 2' off the North property line, which is Janalyn
Circle. (required 35' front yard setback)
MOVED by Anderson, seconded by Bruch, unanimously carried to deny the wai.ver.
The Board discussed this request at length and observed that this was an
unusual request because of the degree of the setback to be waived. It was
also noted that certain problems did exist in regaxd to topography on the
site, but it was felt other alternatives were available.

The petition is for the waa.ver of Section
3.�7-(3)-b for 0.75� of a �roposed double garage to a sideyard setback
of 12.0' off the South property line. (required 12.75'

MOVm by Anderson, seconded by Bruch, unanimously caxried to approve the
request with the following stipulation: That Egan, Field and Nowak, which
is the firm that did the survey, attach a current date to the survey certifying
the measurements to be correct.

The petition is for the waiver of. Section
3.Q7-(1) for 18.69�� of a proposed residence to a front yard setback
of 16.31' off the North property line, which is Unity Avenue.

The petitioner asked to have this matter deferred for further study.
