MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
GOLDEN V.4I,ZEY BOARD OF ZONING A PPEALS
JANUARY 26, 197fl
A special meeting of the Golden Va11ey Board of Zoning Appeals was held
Monday, Jarnzary 26, 1970, at 7:00 P.M, at the Golden Va11e,y Civic Center,
7800 Golden Val�ey Road, Golden Valle�, Minnesota. The following Board
members, cons�ituting a quorum, were present:
LeRoy W, Anderson
Donald E. Franzen
I1r. Robert R. Hoover
Paul D. Senstad
Morton D. Silverman
Mr. Ik�n J. Lynch, Chief Building Inspector, was present at the in.vitation
of the Board.
LeRo� W. Anderson, Chairman of the Board, presid�d and Jon L. Westlake,
Secretary of the Board of Zoning Appeals, acted as Secretary of the meeting.
As the firs-� order of Bu.siness, the Chairman read a letter from Robert
M. Skar�, the Village Attorney, This letter was in response to the January� 13,
1970 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting concerning �.00 Dakota Ave. South.
The Chairman then brought before the meeting the following request far a
waiver:
70-1-1 �00 Dakota Ave. South (13) Bennie Rozman
The petition is for the waiver of Section
3.07 (l� for 17� on a home under construction to a front �rard setback
of 18 t off the 5outhwest Right of Way of I�akota Ave.

Messrs. Bennie Rozman, owner of the property, and Julius M. Rivkin
of Arkay Construction Company presented the request ta the Board,
The Board reviewed the request and the action taken at the January 13, 1970
Board of Zqning A,ppeals meeting. The Board pointed out that at their previous
meeting no waiver was granted. The Board also discussed the letter from the
Village Attorney in which it was stated the action taken by the Board to
sanction or permit the existence of a nonconforming use is not within the
power of the Board. It was also pointed out by the Board that the required
survey for the founda�ion location was dated December l, 1969.
It was moved by Donald Franzen, seconded by Paul Senstad, and carried
unanimous]..,y to deny the request for the waiver of Sec�ion 3.07 (1) .
There being no further business to come before 'che meeting, it was on
motion, duly seconcted, adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
