Thursd2y, November 12, Members present were Loughlnnd, Palmer, Lynch, Rydmark, P�tterson, Amble, LaBissoniere and Borchert. . Mr. Bjornson of Anderson Ag�regates ,Co. appeared to present his request for rezoning of �he pa.rcel of land on the e�st side of the NI.N. & S. Ry. between Olson Hi�hway and Golden Valley Road from open development to commercial (industrial) classification. He described ' his pla_ns for development of the land. After considerable discussion Palmer moved that the request be ta.bled until th� re,�ular December meeting, of the Commission, that in the interim the Commission hold a special meeting to act upon general chan�es in the vill�ge zoning pattern �hich are to be recommended by the zoning committee, ar¢1 th�t conclusive action on �ir. Bjornson's request be taken after these chan,�es have been a c�Ged up on. N�otia� seconded by Rydm�ark , �arried. Nr. E.R. Conry ap,�eared to explain his plans for reque�� ing � rezoning from open development to commercial the 16 acre tra.ct astrid.e the NI.N. & S. l�y. tracks and fronting Olson Highway south ofthe White House night club. He indicated plans to outline his proposal in detail to the reis�.ents of the Glendale subdivision and attempted to get their s��port of this proposal. He was urged to �rieet the �lendale Ym����c���nt Associ�l��on during the � ensuing �ek and �� t��I�c� ��nat t�e Commission would , �nclude his r equest in it deliberations at itsspecial meetin� in Novem�ber. � Nr. R.E. Olson, 110$ West 2$th Street, N�inneapolis, appeared to request a waiver of side-lot setback requiremen�s to construct a dwelling on Lot 315 and the east half of lot 316 Belmont Addition, v�.thin fifteen feet of east line a�d 6 f�e�t of the west line of his property. It was generally agreed that Olson be permitted to comply with the sideline cleCr�nce requirements for the general 50-foot lots of th�t subdivision. Palr�er moved that Olson be permitted to build ����� 14 feet of rlis erst property line and with�� 6 ��et of his west line. Niotio'n seconded ry Lynch, carried. ��`� - ��tnch presented the proposed pl^t of t he Schuller , Addi:tion between 6th Avenue North and Glenwood Ave. ?djoining Schullerts tavern on t he east. Rydmark moved that the pl�t be accepted subject to establishment of a 60-foot right-of-way fro� Glenwood Avenue to the turn-around, a 100-foot di�meter turn-around, and �roper � radii on Glenwood Avenue. Niotion seconded by Paln�er carried. Owens presented the revi��ed plat of proposed L.�. C;-rlson � Addition to ?�loodlawe Park. It was pointed out that the plat shows l�ots and ro�ds laid out v�aith�ut reg�rd for t he existsnce of County Ditch # 1$. Lynch r�,oved th�t the � propos�l be "referred to the P1�t Committee fo'r study and consultation urith t he vill��e attorney to deteruiine what steps to t�ke to �et the pl.^t to conforrr� to future dev- elopment of the ditch. Notion seconded by Borchert , carriedv Dr. Boller appeared to request ^. waiver to b uild a ho�se on the ���� side of Angelo Rd, south of Thotland Rd. 25 feet, ° ` from the front lot line. Patterson moved that a 25-foot � minimum setb�ck for a dwelling on the parcel of l�nd lying between Angelo Drive and Sweeney Lake and extending 165 feet southward frorr� the center line of Thotland Ro~d extended. ' N�otion seconded by Rydmark carried. . P�Tr. EnoCh Anderson appeare�l to discuss further his request for rezoning the southv,rest. corner of Golden Valley Ro�ad and the Belt Line. The question w�s deferred for consideration � �t the November special meeting. . Nr. Sheedy appeared to inquire concerning th� status of h�:s request for rezoning of the triangle between Dec�tur Ave. 6th Avenue N. and Olson Highway. He was advised th�.t this would also be �nswered �fter consideration of general rezoning questions �t the November special meeting. Harold Lynch presented the revised plat proposal of Brookfair Addition, south of St. Croix Avenue , e.=st of the P�'..N.& S. Ry. , =�nd north of Bassett� s Creek. He mvved th�t the plat - be' accepted as proposed. A��otion seconded by Borchert, carried. Lynch moved th� t the rec�uest of N}r. Richfird Orstad for a waive� • of sideline clearance requirerr.ents be granted in view of a � h�rdship resulting from the con�our of the land(See m�nutes of Oct. $ meeting. ) N�otion seconded by Rydm^rk carried.
