September 8, 1948
The Park Board of the Village of Golden Valley met in regular meeting ROLL CALL
at the Village Hall at 8:00 P.M. on September 8, 1948. In attendance
were: Mr. Moes and Mrs. Arms.
Mr. noes presided over the meeting in the absence of Mrs. Seeman.
The reading; of the minutes was dispensed with.

The Secretary read correspondence from the Department of Highways CORRESPONDENCE
regarding the disposition of gravel pit property No. 1957B, indicat- HIG4WAY
ing that the inquiry pertaining to the property had been referred to DEPARTMENT
their District Engineer for investigation and report.
Mr. Moes stated that the Village Clerk assured us that the Park
Board could use ',pillage equipment for the hauling of clay after
Belmont Park has been graded.
11r. Noes was authorized to place an order with the Soo Line Railroad
for 300 feet of slightly damaged 12 inch glazed sewer pipe at 10� per
foot f.o.b. Soo Line, Minneapolis team track. The Secretary was
directed to confirm the order by letter.
The Village Clerk assured us that Villaire equipment would pick up
the tile.
The Secretary was directed to write a letter to Mr. Earl Ainsworth,
County Commissioner, askin;` for the use of the highway bulldozer for
grading the area after the tile is laid.
It was suggested that the President contact interested residents of
the Belmont area to determine whether they would lay the tile.
