The Park Board of the Village of Golden Valley met ROLL CALL
for their rerula.r monthly meeting at the Village
Hall at 8:00 n.m. on Anril 13, 1949.
The meeting was attended by Yr. woes, President,
Yrs. Arms, Vice -President, and Mr. Boyer, Secretary.
Minutes of the February 9 and Larch 9th meeting
were read and annroved.
On February 3, 1949 letters were mailed to the
twelve different playground manufacturers and cat-
alogs were received in return including prices.
Dir. Stanley Kane of the Commercial Club attended as
a committee of one to help in selecting playground
equipment with a $300.00dona,tion for Belmont Park.
It was agreed by the Park Board and ?fir. Kane that
the combination set No. 38 would be most apnronriate
and on May 4th a letter of verification of this agree
ment was mailed to Mr. Frank Slaevin, President
suggesting that one check for $250.00 covering the
cost of this No. 38 combination set be mailed to the
Park Board and the remaining; $50.00 of the $300.00
grant be used for freight and installation.
Between April 25 end May 4, 1949 Village equipment
has nrepared the Belmont Park for seeding and an
advertisement for bids for seeding and rolling was
placed in the Robbinsdale Post to annear in the
May 5, 1949 issur.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
THE PARD BOARD of the village of
Golden Valley will receive sealed bids at
the village hall until 5:00 P.M. May 16th,
1949, for the providing of all necessary
seed and labor for the seeding of the area
known as Belmonth Park situated at Len.
nox ;and Brookview Aves., in accordance
with 'plans and specifications which may he
obtained from the secretary at his home at
4700 Brookview Ave. (opposite park) or
from the village clerk at the village hall.
All bids to be accompanied by cash or
certified check payable to the Golden Val-
ley Park Board for not less than 5 per
cent of the amount of the bid.
