MEETING
BOARD
The regular monthly meeting of the Park Board of Goldan
Valley was held a.t 8:23 P.M. lday 10th, 1950 All members ROLL CALL
were present. Mr. Leonard Bias who succeeded 'yrs. Floyd
Arms, who resigned, presided.
Minutes of the last regular meeting held April 12th, 15,0
rare read and approved. MINUTES.
The following correspondence was read and put on file;
(1) Copy of letter dated May 2, 1950 from the
secretary to Mr. Bennett of the Mpls. Toro Co., CONFIRMA-
confirming phone order for special hitch for TION OF
use with the new three gang mower purchased ORDER FOR
from this company. HITCH.
(2) Letter from Northrup King Co. acknowledging
order for 500 lbs. of grass seed to be used at
Belmont Park.
(;) Copy of letter from secretary to 1r.J.H. Schultz
of The Crowley Fence Co. confirming prone order
given by Mrs. Arras for #38 playground set for
Glenview Terrace use.
(4) Copy of letter of resignation addreassd to Mr.
A. G. Stassel. Pres. of the Council from Mrs.
Floyd Arms. This was accompanied by en axpression
of apLreeiation from the members of the Perk
Board for the good work rendered to the village
by Mrs. Arms in the past.

Board together with detailed information regard-
ing the planting of trees upon public proarties.
The information regarding tree planting received from the
ifpls. Park Board was studied and discussed at quite
some length. Also the matter of sign boards along
streets and roads within the village. Secretary was
instructed to confer with Mr. rirzich, Administra.tivs
Assistant to determine just what are the duties of the
Park Board regarding tree planting along public streets.

Mr. Boyer was instructed to make nacessary arrangements
With 'Ar. Tirzich to have Balmont Park disced and made SEEDING
ready for seeding. Also to make arra.rigements with the BELMONT
greens keeper of the Shrine Club to rent their seeder PARK.
