MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

GOLDEN VALLEY PARK BOARD
DECEMBER 13, 1950
The regular monthly meeting of the Golden Valley Park
Board was held at the home of W.A.Moes 1515 Alpine Pass,

at 8:00 p.m. December 13, 1950,Vicepresident Gordon oyer
presiding. tor. Bies,president was absent. Minutes of the ROIL CALL
November 11th meeting were read and approved. MINUT'FS
Copy of the letter to Mr. Burt Waldron,President of Golden
Valley Commercial Club,regarding the erection of the hocky_
rink was read. i"r. Moes stated that he had been informedbyT
Yr..Terzich that the Commercial Club were going to set up hO.JKY RINK
the side -boards for the rink at the Apartment Houses at
Olson Highway and Beltline at Mr. Fnghauserts request.
Copy of the report to the Village Council of the activities
of the Park Board during year 1950 was read and filed. REPORT
Letter was read from Mr.Terzich acknowledging receipt of
report and informing the Board that there will be about BL'DGT
$2700 available for 1951 activities.
Mr. Boyer stated that he saw a copy of a letter from Mr.Terzi��ATING
addressed to Fire Dept. asking for volunteers to flood and
maintain skating, rinks for the entire winter. RINKS
On Tuesday evenin,November 28,1950, all members of the Park
Board attended a meeting of park boards of the Minneapolis
Metropolitan area at the Columbia HeightsRecreational Bldg. �'PL3* NG
Motion pictures of park activities in other cities were shown"PLS. PARK
and local park board problems discussed. BOARD
Golden Valley Park Board received an invitation from the Mid
Continent Regional Park and Recreation Conference to be held CONFTRENCE
March 30-31,1951 at Fairbault, Minn.
