MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
GOLDEN YALLEY PARK BOARD

The regular meeting of the Golden Valley Park Board was
held May 9/ 1951at the home of the secretary, Leonard Bies
2337 Winnetka. The meeting was called to order at 8:00p.m.
President J.R.Boyer presiding. All members were present. ROLL CALL
Nldnutes of the April 11, meeting were read and approved. MINUTES
Mr. Does made a motion that the Board request the Village
Council to hire a man for ParkBoard priority.
Mr. Boyer was requested to investigate the possibility of BELMONT PARK
a well for Belmont Park. 10 _s ,L
Mr. Boyer was asked to get an estimate for a small building BELMONT PARK
15ft. by 30ft. for Belmont Park. Bi?ILDING
14r. Moes was requested to get specifications for a ball BAIL DIAMOND
diamond back -stop, shuffel court etc. BACK STOP
Mr. Moes suggested that the Park Board supervise a JwimmingjSWIMMING
course for Golden Valley children. The secretary was requested CCi7RSE
to write a letter to the principles of the four schools in
the village and ask that they notify the children and parents.
All those who wish to attend should send their regia tration
by May 21.
It was ciecided that a registration fee of $2.00 be charged
the children in Golden Valley,and this amount be refunded REGISTRATION
if the child attends3/4 of the time.
If the child lives outside of Golden Valley a registration
fee of X3.00 be charged, and 2 of that amount be refunded
if the child attends 3/4 of the time.
Mr. Moes and Mr. Boyer were asked to check on the bathing
facilities at Theodore Wirth Park.
The Board decided to check on the possibility of swings for St"DINGS
the Golden Oaks Park. GOLDEiQ OAKS
The meeting was adjourned at 10:45 p.m.
