VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY
APRIL 8,1953
The park board of the Village of Golden Valley met for ROLL CALL
their regular meeting at the home of J.Gorden Boyer.
All members were present with Mr.Lppnard Bies,President,
presiding. Minutes Of Mar. 11,195,7�we'�e read and approved. MINUTES
Bryd Avenue Park strip has been surveyed and is being
staked by the village.
Tax delinquent property to be published with the Park
Board having an option on such property in the case
that the Village doesn't need it for drainage.
A request from the American Legion Chester Byrd Post
was presented to use Belmont Park soft ball diamond
for hard Ball. The cost to do the necessary work to
convert the field. This to be in effect until the
Harold -`-venue Park is ready for Play. The request liras
met with the approvel of the Park Board.
The two sets of combination play ground equipment stored
In the fire hall to be instslled as follows: one set
to Parpouse Lake Park and the other to Golden Oaks Park,
and a merry-go—round to be put in Belmont Park.
The Golden Oaks Park to be finished as soon as Possible.
It mAst be tiled before baseball field can be completed.
Leonard Bies is to check on bulldozing of the Glenview
Terrace Park Property.
In response to Woodlawn Park's letter to PArk Board passed
on helping with the blading, fixing a $25.00 maximum.
The policy for the miobtrl.e pumper unit for fire and theft to be
turned over to Royce Owens for safe keepin.
