May 12, 1954
On May 12, 1954, the Golden Valley Park Board met in
rec,ular sessio.l. i.11 .me:-ibers of the Board were present.
Delegation from Nobel Grove Association were also
present - garter Markus, ,Manley Anderson, and Ro-,,.ert
Thorp.
Minutes approved for the last three meetings. MINUTES
BUSINESS
1. Motion m~de, seconded and passed that a written
note be sent to the Village Engineer requesting
maps and data on the various parks - to be
drawn to satisfactory scale for sheets 16 x 22".
2. Nobel Grove Association - Chairman Robert Thorp
A. 'Thanked the Park Board for developing Pappouse
Park in the past two years.
B. The Association ;v)lild like to help in any way
to finish the park.
C. Mr. Boyer informed the delegation of the future
plans.
3. Motion was made to drill one point to maximum depth
to use a rk board pump. If sufficient water, drill
tvo more in vicinity, and tie together.

motion was :,m de, seconded and passed that the park
be named "Pappouse Park".
K. J'e are to meet at the Pappouse Park at 5:30 P.M.
Tuesday, May 16th, to lay out tree first tree lay out.
6. Mr. Thorp could like information on suburban
recreation association. Suggested he contact �,4r.
VanHouen of the Glenwood Hospital.
7. Nobel Grove itssoc. rejuested park lights. Motion
made, seconded and passed that two lights be
installed. One on the Northeast edge of the park,
and one on the Southwest edge of the park. Lights

to be ordered by Ildr. Boyer.
