10-1954MINTTTES OF THE REGTTLAR MEETING PARK BOARD Village of "olden Valley October, 1954 The October meeting of the Park Board of the Village of Golden Valley was held at the home of J. Gordon Boyer, J. Gordon Boyer and Ray B. Stockman were present. The swing set for Glendale Park will be delivered October 28th - and is to be installed by November 7th. The small swing set for Papoose Park is to ?-e delivered October 14th and installed by October 16th. Contract for walls for Glendale and Papoose Parks awarded tc Bergerson-Caswell Company. The drilling to be started by October 23d. For further details, see the written m ntract. There is no new information on the backstop for Glendale Park - it should be installed before October 23d. As soon as the well is finished and operating in Papoose Park, a request will be made to Arnie Denzen to make dirt banks for the skating rink. Also, a request to level for proper flooding. The proposal for placement of lights was made to be submitted to Royce Evans. He will place an order with Northern States Power Company for installation. These li_vhts to be placed in Papoose, Belmont and Harold IvenueParks. The Glendale Assoc- iation will be contacted for placement of l'ghts for Glendale Park. It was decided that a Letter be sent to Royce Owens, Administra- tive Assistant, requesting that the Park Board Secretary okay all invoices for Park Board meter_i al and equipment before pay- ment to insure satisfactory workmanship in jobs completed. The secretary, then, will keep a record of all paid invoices charged to the park bnprd budget for material and equipment. The Village of Golden Valley adv1ses all rolling stock is to be numbered as per bulletin dated September 24, 1954, The Park Board rolling stock is to be numbered starting from 400. The three gang mowers 401, the mobile pump unit 402, the snow plow 403, and the Secretary is directed to have these numbers painted on the rolling stock. 158 A letter from Larry Fisher, President of the Belt Line Midget Baseball League, to be answered at a future date.
