MIN??TFS OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PARK BOARD
Village of Golden Valley
November, 1954
On November 10th, the Park Board of the Village of
Golden Valley convened at the home of B. Stockman, 4915
Culver Road for the regular monthly meeting. J. Gordon
Boyer and Ray B. Stockman present.
Royce Owens advises by letter that various people
in Schied's Terrace would like to have the possibility
of a skating rink investigated. The rink to be placed
on park property. Ray Stockman will investigate and
advise condition and possibilities of a skating rink.
Misters Mock, Marcus, and Reinholdz, representing the
Noble Greve Association, were present to discuss the
skating rink in Pappoose Park.
Ray Stockman was instructed to find gallons per minute
well would develop - request Bergerson-Caswell to furnib)
suggested pumping method.
J. Gordon Boyer to request from Royce Owens to level and
bank Pappoose Park. 4.lso order additional benci-es for
parks.
Royce Owens advised bl,,, letter the Golden Valley Lions Club
intends to present to the Park Foard the warming house
erected by them at Harold venue nar!-�. J. Gordon Boyer to
advise Royce Owens to go ahead with lighting and service to
warming house and time clock - and placement of guard
posts.
It was sv_ggested the letter be discussed further at the
next meeting along with the letter concerning li>-rhting
costs and grading costs from Royce Owens.
The Park Board believed itself unqualified to set 2 grade
with proper drainage for harold Ave. Park - a re-;uest to
be sent to Viilage Engineer to advise recommended grading
and drainage and submit suggestions to the Park Board.
