of yeomen's Voters attended the meeting as guests to
observe operation of the Park Board, and report back
to their group.
A representative of Bergerson-Casewell was also present.
. The long range program was outlined to the women,
including the list of parks in process of being developed
and their various stages, and the list and locations of
parks whicr are not as yet developed. It was pointed out
to them because of our limited budget we are developing
parks where the residents adjoin_ng the park are ambitiously
trying to develop park property.
B. It was pointed out that our parks are catagorized
as follo'ls:
1. Athletic,
2. Minor athletic and playground, and
3. Scenic.
Normal Business:
1. Shide Terrace: It was decided we would attempt to
flood for a skating rink. If the park holds water
sufficient for a rink, we will authorize lighting.
2. Glendale Park: Has a flowing well, but of insuffi^fent
capacity to flood a rink. It was moved to buy 2507 of
hose for our portable pump to gain additional water
for flooding from the near -by pond. The flowing well
should be suffic'ent for dressing.
3. Pappoose Park: Will require a deep well operation.
It was decided to rent a pumping system from bergerson-
Caswell for $85.00 for the year, of which x'50.00 will be
applied to new installation when proceeded with in 1955.
It was decided to spend money necessary to order canvas
protection for pump at pappoose Park.
4. Harold Avenue: It was dee ded to contact the property
owners adjoining Harold "venue and advise them of the
signed statements regarding modification of site.
Meet' g closed at approximately 9:30 P.M.
