PARK BOARD
Village of Golden Valley
May - 1955
On May 11, 1955 the Golden Valley Park Board net in regular session. Present were
Stockman, Gustafson and Ostroot.
GLENDALE PARK - The plans for development of the park submitted by Arnold Andreason
were accepted, having been submitted to the adjoining residents, and agreeable to
them. In order to have a play area available immediately, it was decided to lay a
section of sod in that corner of the park, erect the swingy; sets and proceed with
further development as possible.
BELILOP]T PARK - Equipment has been renovated and additional work will be done on the
area as needed, including seeding and watering.
TYROL - Representatives of the neighborhood attended the meeting to discuss the
matter of further development of the park by the village. It was agreed to let the
matter rest until they had conferred further, at which time they will call in the
Park Foard and our consultant to make decisions as to further action.
PAPOOSE - Mr. Markus attended the meeting to indicate that the adjoining residents
were willing to assist in the development of the park, probably providing the
pump house. They requested that we raise the grade of the park with fill available
from the work being done on adjoining sewers and roads.
HAROLD AVE. - Permission of all property owners,except the Baptist Church, has been
obtained. The new minister will be arriving shortly and action will be taken upon
his arrival. Little League was given permission for practice and inter -park games. -

OLDEN OAKS - Has been graded by the village employees. It was decided to complete it by
(seeding.
The next regular meeting will be held on June 8, 1)55.
