The Council will meet Tuesday, September 26th at 7:30 -.m. at the Civic Center
to answer and discuss any questions regarding the cost, time, location, method
of financing and assessment policy for the construction of the complete trunk
water system. The method of financing should be of interest to all, especially
tothose residents of the Northeast corner, Parkview Terrace and any other areas
of the Village who now have municipal water.
A Watermain Construction Policy: When a watermain is constructed in a street,
there will e service connexons installed from the main to the property line
of each lot. This will require disturbing some sodded boulevards. The policy
will be to leave the re -sodding of these areas up to the property owners rather
than have the Village do it. The reasoning behind this policy is one of ECONOMY.
This policy was used in early sanitary sewer projects and it worked out well for
the property owner, particularly those who made the connection to the building
soon after the work was completed.
('olden Valley Community Theater: The Adult Education group from Golden Valley
High Sc ool is sponsoring the Golden Valley Community Theater. The group will
present "The Philadelphia Story" on September 28, 29 & 30 in the Golden Valley
High School Auditorium at 8:30 each night. Tickets are available at the door
or may be purchased through members of the group. Additional information regarding
future plays, try -outs, etc., may be obtained from Mrs. S. T. Hokanson (FR 7-6489).
