The Park and Recreation Commission of the Village of Golden Valley met Wednesday, June
263 1963 instead of its regular last Thursday of each month, due to the Village Picnic.
Board members present: Dr. Ray Petersen, Chairman, John H. Sullivan, John W. Byrnes, Max
Green, Mrs. Laura Scheffler. Also present: John L. Brenna, Director. Board members
absent: Graydon Ewald and Ray Stockman.
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Petcrsen. Chairman Petersen then
called for approval of the minutes from the May 27, 1963 meeting. Mr. John H. Sullivan
moved the minutes be approved. Mr. Max Green seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
At this time, Mr. Brenna gave a resume' of the Summer Program. Activities and those
registered follow:

Mr. Brenna explained that all new construction is on schedule, and if no prolonged rain or
other difficulty arises, we will, by late fall, be through with our first phase of
construction.
Chairman, Dr. Ray eetersen moved for adjournment. Agreed. The meeting was adjourned at
8:15 P.M.
