8-27-1964234 Minutes of the Regular Monthly Meeting PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY August 27, 1964 7:00 p.m, The Park and Recreation Commission of the Village of Golden Valley met at its regular monthly meeting at the Village Hall, Thursday, August 27, 1964 at 7:00 p.m. Board members present: John H. Sullivan, Chairman, Dr. Raymond Petersen, and Elroy Roelke. Members absent: Stanley Anderson, John Byrnes, Graydon Ewald, and Laura Scheffler. Also present, Mr. John L. Brenna, Director. A quorum was not present, therefore no official business was conducted. PARK DEVELOPMENT Mr. Brenna discussed progress to date. He also added that construc- tion monies would be exhausted by late fall. In talking with Mr. Ulstad, who in turn talked with the Village Council about addi- tional monies for next year, it seemed the consensus, that none would be available. Therefore, Mr. Ulstad suggested we begin thinking in terms of a bond issue. Mr. Brenna mentioned that all available information, as to monies needed for the completion of the Park system would be available in about a week. Mr, John Sullivan suggested a special meeting be called for on September 10, at which time we could discuss the matter more fully. No further action has been taken, PROGRAM: Below are listed the Summer activities, their Registrations and Attendance, The Registration figure of 4,32.0 is a 16% increase over last year. 1 1 ■ Meeting - August 27, 1964.
