Special Meeting (Park Development)
Board members Present: Chairman, John Sullivan, Laura Scheffler,
John Byrnes, Stan Anderson, Dr. Ray Peterson and Elroy Roelke.
Board members absent: Graydon Ewald. Also present: John Brenna,
Director.
A special meeting was called to discuss future park development for
the village of Golden Valley.
Completion work for the G,)lden Valley Park System was discussed at
great length.
Consensus of members present after careful consideration of other
factors presently being considered (Golf Course, Ponding Areas,
Swimming Pool) the commission favored the completion of the Park
system for the entire amount of $574,000.00.
Mr. Brenna brought forth a salary survey as had been requested. Much
discussion insued. Members present felt that the department's
personnel very definitely should be brought in line with salaries
of other Village employees. The matter was tabled for further study
at a later date.
Mr. Brenna reminded all board members of the forthcoming meeting with
the city council on October 13th at the vellage hall. Reminders wi,1.1
be sent to all beforehand.
