LAKEVIEW HEIGHTS
The Park and Recreation Commission has been looking at the Lakeview Heights
area for a park location. The area in question is very low and comprises
some 4.5 acres. The first of 12 lots went tax delinquent; the other 11 will be
delinquent next year. The Village has picked up the delinquent lot. There
remains an additional 20 lots that will have to be purchased. The Park and
Recreation Commission has provided money in our proposed bond issue for the
remaining area.
PROPOSED BOND ISSUE MEETING
The Park and Recreation Commission will meet with the Village Council on
March 16 to discuss our proposed Park Bond Issue.
The Village Council will have a meeting on March 3rd with the Directors of the
Brookview Golf Course to determine the possible acquisition of the course.
If the Village Council decides to buy the course, this will no doubt affect
our talk on March 16th; therefore, a meeting will be called for on March 4th
to discuss the outcome of the Village Council's findings and our proposal to
the Council.
The meeting adjourned at 10;12 p.m.
