REGULAR MEETING OF THE
GOLDEN VALLEY PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION
September 28, 1967
A regular meeting of the Golden Valley Park & Recreation Commission
was held on Thursday, September 28,1967, at 7:00 p.m. at the Golden
Valley Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Chairman Roelke presided and the following members were present:
Anderson, Oukrop, Petersen, Byrnes, Sullivan. Also present were:
Director John Brenna, Secretary Phyllis Jordahl.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOVED, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the minutes of
September 14th and August 31, 1967.
FALL AND WINTER PROGRAM
The Fall and Winter Program is the same again this year as last year
with the exception that Tumbling & Trampolene is discontinued until
after the first of the year. George Patten, our instructor, is
attending school. The Adair School Mens Basketball program was
discontinued because it is so far out of the Village and the Golden
Valley Men were not utilizing it. The Board Members were given the
bulletins for review.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION CONDIDATES
Sub -committee Chairman for candidates, Stan Anderson presented the
following nominations to the Commission for their recommendation.

MOVED by Oukrop, seconded by Sullivan, unanimously carried to
appoint Stan Anderson as chairman of the Scheid Park Bridge Action
Committee. Mr. Brenna and Stan Anderson will arrange a meeting
with the interested residents of the area along with other inter-
ested personages who will meet to discuss methods in approaching
Hennepin County. This group will report their actions to the
Park and Recreation Commission.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
