USE OF SNOWMOBILES (NORTH TYROL PARK)
After a lengthy two hour discussion concerning snowmobiling in
North Tyrol Park, it was MOVED by Gene Roelke, seconded by Larry
Fischer, unanimously carried, that the area in question (North
Tyrol Park) remain closed to the operation of snowmobiles. The
main reasons for the preceding action being:
1. The noise factor for those living next to the park area.
2. The smallness of the park.
3. To preserve the unique natural wildlife nature of the park area.
As a result of this meeting, a special committee will be set up
within the Park & Recreation Commission to study the future needs
of snowmobilin4.
There being no further business, a motion was entertained for
adjournment.
