BROOKVIEW MENS GOLF ASSOCIATION — by laws
Members of the Board of Directors of the Brookview Mens Golf Association
were present, and Mr. Jack Culver explained why it was felt that the by laws
needed amending — the members felt they were unadequate and that the proposed
amendments had been passed at their regular meeting on April 7, 1975, by
only one dissenting vote. After discussion, it was moved by Brown and
seconded by Duebner that the Commission approve the by laws with the following
correction: Under Article I, Name, purpose and location, paragraph 5 thereof,
line 4, change the word "Department" to "Commission".' Motion carried.
Mr. George Caviness of the Brookview Mens Golf Association proposed that
Brookview Golf Course might offer a season ticket to citizens. Also, Mr.
Hammer mentioned that those businesses, whose owners do not live in Golden
Valley, but have their places of business herein, be allowed to purchase one
patron card for said business. After discussion, it was moved by Hammer
and seconded by Gergen that the matter of season tickets, and issuing patron
cards to businesses be referred to the Brookview Sub committee for further
study. Motion carried.
BROOKVIEW SUB COMMITTEE REPORT
Mr. Courey brought forth two items for discussion relative to golf course
improvements — an irrigation system and fairway upgrading. Mr. Leo Hanson,
Greens Superintendent, explained irrigation proposals submitted by Toro,
Buckner, and Rainbird Companies. After lengthy discussion, it was moved by
Brown and seconded by Duebner that we seek proposals from qualified companies
on fairway upgrading, which would include an irrigation system under con—
ditions consistent with golf course revenue paying the entire cost. Motion
carried.
Mr. Courey also presented the findings of the sub committee relaitve to
