Course improvements were also discussed. Although money had been allocated
for next year for improving the driving range, renovate sand traps, con-
struct cart paths, and replace trees, some of these items may be postponed
in order to keep reserve funds at a healthy level. The Committee had
recommended renovating the 14th tee and fairway, and felt strongly that
these should be done as they were listed as first on their priority list.
Play could still continue, but it would be a short par 3 hole.
It was the consensus of the Commission to not give input on making the
decision of whether or not to cut some of the improvements recommended by
the Committee.
The pond banks at Brookview Park are being renovated and are coming along
well.
A motion was made by Chuck Burmeister and seconded by Jim Johnson to
adjourn at 8:20 PM.
The next meeting will be October 24, 1988 at Brookview Community Center.
