This is a matter of policy, whether or not the City wants to budget money to clear out the lake, or allow the area to take its natural course. Chuck Burmeister mentioned that he was disappointed this item was not on the agenda for discussion. Chuck further stated that he felt the Rice Lake issue is a matter of policy and available dollars to be decided by the City Council. George Murad agreed. The Commission asked to be kept informed of further developments. OLD BUSINESS Michele Bix asked about an "Adopt a Park" program. Rick said this is worth considering. It was suggested that Tom Klatt come to a future meeting to see how this would fit into park maintenance programs. POOL COMMITTEE MIINUTESaMPROVEMENT COMM EME MINUTES George Murad reviewed the minutes of the last meeting. Four members of the Pool Committee will meet with Council members in September to ask for money for a feasibility study from an architect. A motion was made by George Murad and seconded by Rich Krahulec to receive and file the minutes of the Pool Committee and the Improvement Committee. Motion carried.
