HIDDEN LAKE DEVELOPMENT
Linda Loomis reported that th EAW from the developer of the Hidden Lake project was
incomplete. In lieu of a thirty day extension, the Council decided to reject the EAW and have it
redone.
Linda suggested that the Commission come up with a wish list of what park development they
would like to have at the Hidden Lake site. The following items were mentioned: lake front
park, picnic area, fishing pier,`carry-on boat access, trail to hook up with the Hennepin County
trail, and a small playground. Tom Zins suggested meeting with Mark Grimes from the Planning
Department first to get more tchnical information on what is feasible at this site, and what DNR
requirements need to be consi Bred. He also felt it would be good to know the market value of
properties for sale in Goldenalley large enough to accommodate athletic facilities in case the
City elects to take cash rather than land allocation from the developer.

The City Council and City M agerpet recently to discuss the athletic facility proposal. They
decided to tour the site on Ap 1 13h where preliminary staking would be done. A public
hearing will be held, possibly ' May.
