The Theodore Wirth Citizen's Advisory
Committee (CAC) was appointed in
February 2010 to develop a concept for
the Wirth Lake Area in 2010. In June
2010 the Wirth Lake Area concept was
adopted by the board.
"to develop design recommendationsfor the park's beach
and picnic arses. The design will include a destination
family picnic area. trail connections, education
programming. recreation and maintenance facilities that
will draw people to the park and connect people to its
recreational and natural resources."

The Theodore Wirth Citizen's Advisory
Committee was reconvened in
December 2012 with the following
charge:

rehabilitation, and trail and parkway Upgrades The CAC
mendat ons shall attract visitors to the unique
historical, environmental, and recreational qualities
of the park, while reducing maintenance and operating
costs.
The CAC held 20 meetings between
December 2010 and June 2011. Their
work resulted in a concept plan for the
pads as well as funding priorities for
implementing the plan which were
adopted by the board in July 2012.

Design Advisory Areas are areas of the
concept master plan where issues have
been identified which require more detailed
study which is beyond the scope of the
concept master plan.
