Sochacki Park/Mary Hills Nature Area/Rice Lake Nature Area Project Update Prepared By Rick Birno, Director of Parks & Recreation Summary Three Rivers Park District staff will be in attendance to present the outline for the Sochacki Park, Mary Hills Nature Area, and Rice Lake Nature Area proposed improvements. This proposed project is a partnership between the cities of Golden Valley, Robbinsdale and Three Rivers Park District. Two public input meetings were held to solicit information from residents to guide the recommended improvements for the 67 acre natural park land. Set Neighborhood Meeting Dates and Locations Prepared By Thomas Burt, City Manager Summary At the City Council Goal Setting Workshop the Council determined that they would conduct Neighborhood Meetings. These meetings would have an agenda, meetings would begin with an explanation that no opinion or action could take place, all meetings would be posted, location would have to be open to the public and accessible by all, would be held quarterly on established dates and not during the fourth week of the month. In 2014 the Council conducted the following Neighborhood Meetings: � April 29, 2014 Valley of Peace Lutheran Church 4735 Bassett Creek Drive � luly 29, 2014 Golden Valley VFW Post 7051 7775 Medicine Lake Road � September 30, 2014 Chester Bird American Legion Post 523 200 North Lilac Drive The meetings are held at various locations from 7-8:30 pm. Staff is requesting the Council review their calendars and set 2015 dates and locations.
