1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Harris called the meeting to order at 6 pm.
1A. Roll Call
Present: Mayor Harris, Council Members Clausen, Fonnest, and Schmidgall. Also
present were: City Manager Cruikshank, City Attorney Garry and Administrative
Assistant Wittman.
Absent: Council Member Snope
1B. Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Harris asked for a moment of silence on behalf of former State Representative
Sandra Peterson who recently passed away.
2. ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
MOTION made by Council Member Fonnest, seconded by Council Member Schmidgall
to approve the agenda of October 26, 2015, and the motion carried.
3. PUBLIC HEARINGS
3A. Public Hearing - Approval of Conditional Use Permit 140 - 6500 Olson
Memorial Highway, Peaceful Valley Montessori, Applicant
Planning Intern Sonnek presented the staff report and answered questions from
Council.
Ms. Katie Wagoner, Co-Founder of Peaceful Valley Montessori, Applicant, provided the
history of growth of the Montessori and their need for a larger facility. Ms. Wagoner
answered questions from Council.
Mayor Harris opened the public hearing. No one came forward. Mayor Harris closed the
public hearing.
There was Council discussion regarding the Conditional Use Permit for Peaceful Valley
Montessori located at 6500 Olson Memorial Highway.
MOTION made by Council Member Clausen, seconded by Council Member Schmidgall
to adopt Ordinance #581, Approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 140, 6500 Olson
Memorial Highway - Peaceful Valley Montessori, Applicant upon a vote being taken the
following voted in favor of: Harris, Clausen, Fonnest, and Schmidgall; and the following
voted against: none and the motion carried.

4. ADJOURMENT
MOTION made by Council Member Fonnest, seconded by Council Member Clausen
and the motion carried to adjourn the meeting at 6:13 pm.
