Meeting of The Civil Service Commission at 1109 Glenwood Avenue
called to order at 9:00 P.M.
Members present; Chairman Reiss, Secty. Enghauser and Al Blasing.
Also present were acting Chief Everett Frandsen
and village attorney Stanley Kane. The commission
requested Frandsen's presence due to the fact that
he had assisted in giving the last previous examina-
tions to establish an eligible roster of prospective
patrolmen.
The co±plete results of the written and oral examinations for
patrolmen conducted October 17, 1959 and October 31, 1959 were
then reviewed by the Commission.
Motion by Enghauser, second by Blasing that an eligible roster
consisting of the names of seven of the applicants who successfully
passed the examinations be posted in the places as required under
the Rules & Regulations of the Civil Service Commission; carried
unanimously.
The chairman then instructed Acting Chief Frandsen to so post
the eligible roster, proceed with physical examinations of the
candidates as required immediately and to excuse himself from fur-
ther participation in this meeting. Frandsen then left the meeting.
The subject of the written examinations and oral interviews of the
three applicants for the position of Chief of Police was then com-
pletely reviewed and discussed.
Blasing moved, Enghauser seconded to advise the Village Council
in writing that the examinations had been condluded and that
Everett Frandsen be certified as having attained the highest
passing grade. Carried unanimously.
Motion by Reiss, second by Blasing that the secretary be instructed
to post an eligible register for the position of Chief of Police in
the places as required under Rules -'z Regulations and that the total
scores achieved in the complete examinations be included on such
register. Carried unanimously and. the secretary was so instructed.
Motion by Enghauser, second by Blasing to adjourn carried unanimously.
