The meetinq was called to order on August 26 at 4;00 p.m. by Chairperson
Mitchell_
The commissioners reviewed the results of the aqility tests given to the present
public safty department employees. Tne commissioners also reviewed and discussed
the agility test scoring recommendations submitted by De�uty Public Safety
Director, Glen Olson.
A motion was passed that the aqility test cutoffs be accepted as outlined in
Glen Olson's August 22, 1977 report (attached) .
The commissioners will meet on Wednesday, Sept,ember 7 at 4c30 p.m. to re<�iew the
interviewers technique to be used in processing candidat�s.
The tentativE schedule for interviews is as follows:

SUBJECT: AGILITY TEST SCORING RECOMMENDATIONS/POLtCE dFFICER ^
DATE: AUGUST 22, 1977
The reconmendations made are based on the scores of present emplovees
where apDlicable, usinq a base line of 75$ or more. That is, a cut-
off is suqqested, which at least 75$ of our officers are able to ,
neet or exceed. These cut-off points are chosen for the 300 yard
run and the obstacle course.
The other cut-off scores are based upon an analvsis of female ap-
licant performance. Obviously, thev are unable to comoete in the
strenath test with current officers. since the latter arou� is
comorised of 17 �ales and one female. Therefore, some reasonable
� cut-offs are suaaested so thaY females are not excluded from further '
selection. These scores are on the strenath of qrio in each hand .

The tollowing are cut-off scores for each segment of the agility
test with a brief data base for each including male and female
officers excluded. This does not include three females who were
unable to complete the obstacle course: . ,
1 . 300 YARD RUN
A cut-off of 81 seconds is suggested. 77$ of
current officers were able to meet or exceed �
this score.
