August24,2020–7pm  CityofGoldenValley PlanningCommissionRegularMeeting August24,2020–7pm   2 ZimmermanexplainedthatRͲ3isconsideredmediumdensityandshowedthisdiagramtoillustrate thedifferencesbetweenthedesignationinthe2040CompPlanandtheexistingRͲ3zoning.      Themainreasonthisitemwastabledwastoaddressdensitybonuses.Theoldbonuseswerebased onanothereraandonadevelopingcommunity.Itwasaskedifnewbonusescouldbereflectiveofa redevelopingcommunityandofcurrentCitypriorities.Therewasadesiretoreduce“byͲright” densitiesandprovidebonusestogetuptothemaximumsallowed. Zimmermanrevisitedthe2040CompPlanschedulethatstartedinNovember2018.TheFutureLand Usemapwasdisplayedforreferencewiththethreequadrantsofneighborhoods,tonight’shearingis regardingthethirdquadrant.Zimmermancontinuedandbrokedownthetengroupswithinthis quadrantthatareproposedforrezoning.Theyeachhadanassociatedmapandexplanationfrom staff. ShouldtheCitychoosenottorezoneanyoftheseproperties,theFutureLandUseMapwouldneed tobeamendedwiththeMetCouncil.
