Pete Nelson, Chester Bird American Legion, stated they have three acres of land and feels

property and there are cost implications if they are not able to store items for short periods
of time.
Bob Hill, Chester Bird American Legion; had questions on how businesses could add
additions onto their existing building; wanted to know the difference between an addition on
the Legion and using an accessory building for patrons to smoke in; stated that St. Louis
Park allowed the Legion to add on a building and allows smoking in the new addition and
asked if Golden Valley would allow it.
Sharon Braaten, Manager, Chester Bird American Legion, asked if they could build a
building 25 feet away from their existing building with heating and ventilation for patrons to
smoke in and asked about the process for getting a building permit.
