Meeting called to order by the chairman, Paul A. Seeman.
Members present: Seeman, Frandsen, Reiss and Wilson.
Minutes of the previous meeting read. There being no corrections or
objections- minutes declared accepted as read.
Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss to adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS. a petition has been filed to grade, pave, or otherwise
improve the streets of TYROL HILLS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA, a
platted Addition located in the Village of Golden Valley. Minnesota;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the requisite number of owners
of property abutting upon streets in said Addition have signed said
petition; and
WHEREAS, notice of hearing of said petition has been duly published
for two successive weeks in HENNEPIN COUNTY ENTERPRISE, Robbinsdale,
Minnesota, the last publication being at least seven days prior to
the date set for hearing; and
WHEREAS, said petition came on for hearing on May 16, 1939, at the
time and place specified in said Notice of Hearing; and
WHEREAS, at said time, the Council heard all persons desiring to be
heard in reference to said petition; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was concluded, and the Village Council of
Golden Valley determined to make said improvements as petitioned;
NOW, THEREFORE,'BE IT RESOLVED: That the Village Council of the
Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, does hereby determine to make
the improvements specified in the petition, to -.Tit: To pave, grade,
and otherwise improve the streets of TYROL HILLS, HENNEPIN COUNTY,
MINNESOTA, a platted Addition, and DOES HEREBY ORDER that plans and
specifications therefor be made by Albert Graber, Engineer, and
filed with the Village Recorder.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Wilson that a new mold board and battery
be replaced on the used motor patrol before the final payment is
made.

A signed petition asking the Village of Golden Valley to open an
alley from Meadowlane through Jean Avenue, between 4th and 5th Avenue
North, was read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that this petition be referred
to engineer, Mr. Graybar, and that the council check the deeds of
the property abutting this improvement.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Nilson to adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS, The County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, has presented to
the Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesot3
plans and specifications for the improvement, including changes in
grade, of State Aid Road No. 18, which said road is also known as
County Road No. 18, within the limits of said village from Superior
Boulevard to the North limits of said village, and
WHEREAS, The proposed improvement and changes of grade are satisfactory
to this Council:
BE IT RESOLVED, That the said plans and snecif ications of the County
of Hennepin for the improvement of State Aid Road No. 18, which said
road is also known as County Road No. 18, within the limits of Golden
Valley from Superior Boulevard to the North limits of Golden Valley,
together with the proposed changes in grade shown thereon be and
the same hereby are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proper officers of this Village be
and hereby are authorized to endorse the approval of the Village on
the plans and specifications.
BE IT RESOLVED, That provisions be for future grade separation in
connection with the construction of this highway, and that until such
time as the necessity arises for such separation, automatic signals
shall be installed.

A report on a plat to be known as the Second Addition to Tyrol Hills
n,as read and z*.gas referred back to the planners.
A delegation from Tyrol Hills protested agn.inst any other plat using
the name Tyrol Hills.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Wilson that the naming of the new
addition shall be satisfactory to Tyrol Hills and brought before
the Planning Commission.

A letter from the Attorney General in regard to fire claims was read
and placed on file.
?!notion by Milson seconded by Reiss that the Council accept the
invitation to the Lilac Day Celebration.

An application for a permit to operate a miniature trap shooting
club, to be located on the Heldwood Farms property, was read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to reject a soft drink
application from Bernard Karol.

An application from Bill Schindler for a hard liquor off sale license
was read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to authorize the clerk to rent
a typewriter until a neer ono is purchased.
