Meeting called to order by the chairman, Paul A. Seeman.
Members present; Seeman, Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg, Wilson.
Minutes of the previous meeting read. There being no corrections or objections,
minutes accepted as read.
A notice of action of Mrs. Hattie 11. Borgen was read and the road foreman was
instructed to look over the road.
Motion by Tolg, seconded by Reiss; to adopt the following resolution;
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is the holder of $25,000 of bonds issued to
refund Watermain Certificates of Indebtedness, and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Village Council of Golden Valley to pay the
interest on said bonds to the State of Minnesota in cash before December 31, 1939,
out of funds on hand in the Village Treasury, and
WHEREAS, it is not the desire of the Village Council of Golden Valley that any
additional taxes be levied for the year 1940 to cover such interest requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED
1. That the Village Treasurer is hereby directed to pay to the State Treasurer
of the State of Minnesota the interest payment due July 1, 1940 on refunding bonds
held by the State of Minnesota, which interest payment shall be made on or before
December 31, 1939.
2. That no levy of additional taxes be made for the year 1940 tc cover the
annual interest reauirements on said bonds for the year 1940.
3. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Stile Auditor, the State
Treasurer, and to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, State of Minnesota.

Motion by Reiss, seconded by Tolg, that persons obtaining permits from the village
clerk be permitted to shoot within the village during pheasant season on property of
which the owners have given written consent and that the clerk be authorized to issue
permits.

Mr. Tolg gave a report that the council acting as a committee recognize:item. No. 7,
a Marmon Herrington UF5-4, a 4 wheel drive truck, at the cost of $ 2338.00. Vote of
the committee was unanimous.

Motion by Reiss, seconded by Frandsen, that the clerk return certified checks on
truck bids.

'Motion by Tolg, seconded by Reiss, that the attorney advertise for bids on black
printing, lining and binding four sets of Atlas of the Village of Golden Valley.

Motion by Reiss, seconded by Frandsen, that bid for lumber, hardware and materials
for the equipment shed shall be awarded to the Golden Valley Lumber Co.
