Rev. Claude Spicer opened the council meeting with a, prayer
Meeting called to order by the chairman Raymond T. Raskop.
Members present: Raskop, Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg, Wilson.
Minutes of the Special meeting held Dec.26 were read =and approved.
k-otion by Tolg seconded by R6&ss, designating the North Armerican
office of the Northwestern Nat'l. Bank & Trust Co. and the North Side
office of the First,,Nat'l Bank & Trust Co.as depositories for the
villa -e funds, and,"'the banks are authorized to honor the signatures
of Raymond T.Raskop, President, Geo.Casey,Treasure, and Gail D.15ilson,

lotion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that an inventory be taken of all
equipment.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen tint a public examiner audit the
Village Books, starting from the date of the last examin-tion and
ending December '1,1939.

The chairman asked that a Treasures report and. a summary report of the
Planning Commission be given at the next meeting.
Motion'by Frandsen seconded by Riess that the Village Relief Board
consist of three members: Irs arm. Carsen chairman ,for a, term of three
years, hrs Lynds, a member for a term of two years, and ours Chas. :vitt
a member for a, term of one year,and that chairman be authorized to
hire a truck for delivering surplus commodities.

Applications for the various appointive positions were presented to
the Council.
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that voting be done by secret
ballot.

An application for the Village Hall Janitor was read.
Mrs Mullaney received five votes to be Janitor for the year 1940.
Applications for patrolmen were read.
Elmer Granzow received one vote
Winslow Fritzen received two votes
Christ Collins received three votes
i'illiam Olson received four votes
Christ Collins and William Olson were voted patrolmen for the year1940-`
Applications for Village Attorney were read.
Keith Bradley received three votes
Hyman Edelman received two votes
Keith Bradley was voted Village Attorney for the year 1940.

Applications for the Village Building Inspector were read.
Martin Larson received two votes
Swan Erickson received three votes
Swan Erickson was voted Village Building Inspector for the year 1940
Motion was open to fill the office of Justice of peace which was left
vacant by the death of Mr. Mom. Hart.
Applications for Justice of the Peace were read.
Jack Finn received four votes .
A.P.Juno received one vote.
Jack Finn was voted Justice of the Peace to fill the remainder of the
term of office left vacant by the death of lir. WI.Hart.
lotion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that voting for Road Overseer
be tabled until the next meeting at which time an inventory of
Village Equipment would be given.

be appointed Health Officers for the year 1940.

owners in Delphian Heights in regard to a dumping ground)be referred
to the village attorney for his advise as to steps which could be
taken in regard to this dump.

Lotion by Tolg seconded Reiss that the chairman appoint a committee
to investigate new W.P.A. progects for the balance of the winter months
and that said committee reuort back at the next regular meeting of the
Village Council with their recommendations.

Motion by Tolg seconded by Reiss that the villaze attorney advertise
for bids for removing plaster from the ceiling of.the Village Mall
and replacing with a ceiling board, and relaying of a new floor.
