The meeting was called to order by the chairman Raymand T.Raskop.
Members present: Raskon. Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg,ilsin.
Minutes of the previouse meeting were read and approved.
A Treasurers report was read.
Sealed bids for repairing the Village Hall were opened.
Motion by Tolg seconded by Reiss t1bat the bid for repairing the Village
Hall shall be awarded to Swan Eriekson his bid of$694.00 ,subject to
the inspection and approval of a`.Huilding Committee appointed by the
President.

The President appointed Mr.Wilson and Mr.Reiss Members of the Building
Committee.
A letter from Mr. -Shite was read,requtsting the Village Council to Build
a road from his house to 6th ave No. This request was turned over to
the road comir;ittee.
A letter from L.W.Lovering,requesting the Council to authorize
payor--nt for the printing of the minutes of the council meetings wqs
read.This !Atter was laid on the table.
Second reading in regard to a franchise with the Northern States Power
CO. was read.
A Regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, duly called,convened and held in accordance with
law,was called to order by President Raskop on the 5 day of March,1940
at 8 o'clock P.k. at the Council Chamber in said Village.
The following members, constituting a legal quorm were present:
Clarence Tolg,Raynond T.Raskop, Charles Frandsen, Gail D.1'ilson and
Hans Reiss.
Clarence Tolg introduced a certain Ordinance entitled:
" An ordinance granting permission to the Mpls Gen'1 Elec. Co., its
successors and assions, to erect,enlarge,operate and maintain,in the
Village og Golden Valley,binn.,transmission lines and electric
distributing system, including necessary pole lines,masts wires and
fixtures, for the furnishing of electric energy to the Village and its
inhabitants, and Transmitting electric energy into and through the
Village ,and to use the streets, alleys and public grounds of said
Village for such purposes."
and on motion made and unanimously adopted the above entitled
ordinance was given its second reading.
Thereafter a motion was made by Trustee Reiss and seconded by Trustee
Tolg that the above entitled ordinance be adopted as read and in its
entirety.

grant the Mpls Sas Light Co.
permit
for the extension of its mains
as reouested.

The President then declared said motion duly carried and the above
entitled ordinance duly passed and adopted, and ordered the Village
Recorder to publish the same in accordance with the laa in such case
made and provided.
A report from the committee inspecting properties for a Village perk
was given
Motion by Tolg seconded by Frandsen that the Village attorney check
into the legal proceedure for securing certain lots in the Belmont
Addition and that the council table the matter of securing nronerties
in the Glenwood View addition untill the next meeting.
