The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Raymond T. Raskop.
l.embers present Raskop, Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg, Nilson

A Treasurer report was read and place on filed.

dumps be ammended so as to permit ,ver Harold to ooerate a public dump
on his premises subject to the health regulations and under the
supervision of the Council

Motion by Reiss seconded by Tolg that Gail Wilson, Bill Sweeney,
rs Flossie Thotland, "rs Gloverick, Lrs Geo.Cherland serve on the
election board. yrs i.argaret Lynde, and Nels Frandsen to act as
alternates.

An application from N.�.Bell Telephone for nermisiion to place a
buried cable about 450 feet on Park View Terrace. This application
referred back to the 1J-6 .Bell Telphone Co for written app_ roval of the
property owners effected.
Motion by Tolg seconded by Reiss to grant the 1-ols Gas Light Co permit
for the extension of its mains as requested.

The Chairman asked the Council to confirm his aDoointments of Ed White
and Al LLLcGinis as patrolman together with a new patrol schedule.

The chairman was authorized to call on the County commissioners for
safty lights to be installed on the two narrow concrete bridges.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to protect and preser-e the resur—
faced village roads, highways and thvrofares zrithin the
village limits of the Village of Golden Valley,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that no person shall drive or
Trove or permit to be driven or moved on any resurfaced road
or highway within the Village of Golden Valley, any vehicle
74th a goose loaded w6ight in excess of 6000 pounds.
No person shall drive on, move or permit to be driven on or
moved on such roads or highways any vehicle without pneumatic
tires.
Provided hoixre o'er th,-.t the Village Clerk may upon application
and goad cause shown therefor, issue a special permit rermitt—
ing the applica.=.t to cl rive or move a. vehicle of a weight in
excess of the maximum provided herein.
Each pas{°age of such a vehicle in violation of this resolution
shall constitute a eppArate violation of this reso.l.ution,

Any person or persons violating any provision of this
resolution shall., upon conviction thereof before any justice
of pee.ce h ving 3urisdAction. be puniched by a fine of not
less thanWifty Dollars nor more than One hundred Dollars,
and in default of ps.yment of such fine, he imprisoned in the
County jail for not more than thirty days.

Allotion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the following notice
be ti_ublished.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That sealed bids will be received
at the next regular meeting of the Village Council of the Vill—
age of Golden Valley, Minnesota, to be held on the 17th day
of September, 1940, at 8.Oo o'clock P. M., at the Village
hall in said Village for the sale to said Village of One
hundred (100) metal folding chairs.
Any person or persons submitting a bid in pursuitnQeetw:'th
this notice shall also bring before said council tmz at the
time and place above mentioned, one sample of the chair or
chairs upon which they have submitted bids, for the purpose
of examination and inspection by said council.
The Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley
reserves the right to reject any and all bids as its interest
may appear.
