Chairmen of Relief, Hans Reiss called for reports of relief worker and asked many point questions and particularly emphasized the question as to the payment of hos- pital bills as re-norted in Mr. Kaness report which he obtained from the attorney general and submitted at the last regular meeting of the Council. Mr. Kane stated, as at the last meeting, that no future hospital bills were to be paid by the Council as ordered by him. The meeting was conducted in an informal way and was left open entirely to reports and discussions. The officials all stated that the meeting was of great value and that the success of the council in the handling of the relief problems was through the splendid cooperation of all the officials. It was reported by the relief worker, tom's. Caughren, that at the present time the village only had three cases of relief as follows: Atta Bergman: Ida Feragan Mr. Juno : Meeting adjourned. She is receiving Old Age Pension and is getting $9 a month for groceries. She is a blind lady, receives $22 a month in groceries, $30 a month Old Age Pension and pays $13.50 monthly on her home. The oldest girl is graduating from high school this month and it seems very probable that she may secure a position as a comptometer operator and thus help with the expenses and reduce this relief load. He is applying for Old Age Pension, which takes three months to verify everything before it is passed. His wife is eli- gible for a Pension in September when she reaches 65.
