The meeting was called to order by the President Geo. E. Hanson

Minutes of the regular Council meeting held Dec.19,1944 were read.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the ifiinutes stand approved
as read.

Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss that the North Amierican Office
of the Fein: '.Nat'l Bank & Trust Co and the North side Office of tie
1st Nat'l Bank & Trust Coo be depositories for Village funds and
banks ar.s>.jutberized to honor the signitures of Geo. E. Hanson,
President, Carl I Johnson, Treasurer, and Gail D. Filson, Clerk on
all Village Warrents and checks.

Max Feld, Rae Locketz, Glenwood Hills Hospital, firs 1,4ary Heyer,

Schuller.

A letter from Arthur T. Nelson was read by =i`r. Moe and filed.
A netetion askinv the Council to vacate the following described
road was read. by the Clerk ; All that part of Ianalyn Rd in the
-plat of Glenurban Second Addition that lies northerly and easterly
of the following described line, to wit', Beginning at the South-
west corner of lot 37, Block Six., in said GlenUrban Second
Addition; thence East along the South line of said lot 37 a dist-
ante of 40 feet ; thence Southeasterly on a tangential curve to
the right with radius of 142.32 feet, a distance of 128.4 feet
thence Southeaster*y on a line tangent to last described curve
a distaace of 6.6 feet to a point in the East line of said Glen -
,,Urban Second Addition which point is 59.4 feet South of the South-
east Corner of lot 38, Block six , in said Addition.
Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss that a notide of a.ypublic hearing
on the petition be published in the official Village paper and
that the clerk post notices in the usual places.

Road Boss and Treasurers reports were read and filed.
Motion by Wilson seconded by Reisss that appointments to the
planning Commission be postponed until the next Council meeting.

Police Radio Car Service.
kotion by Reiss seconded by Mot that the Council accent the Mpls
Police Radio Service contract and that the -oroDer officials be
Authorized to execute the contract on behalf of the Village.

The nresident announced that a hearing on the proposed fire prevention
code would be held at the regular Council meeting Jan.1611945.
Mr ko-shrr was present at the Council meeting and the president stated
that -the Council would take action on his request for a nermit for a
cement block factory at it's next regular meeting.

On Petition to Vacate a Certain
Portion of Janalyn Road
in Golden Valley
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the
Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley will meet at the Village Hall in said
Village on the 16th day of January, 1945,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M., and will at said
time and place conduct a hearing and
act upon a petition duly filed with the Vil-
lage Clerk for varetion of the following
described portion of Janalyn Road in said
Village:
All that part of Janalyn Road in the plat
of Glenurban second addition that lies
northerly and easterly of the following de-
scribed line, to -wit: beginning at the south-
western corner of lot 37 block 6 in said
Glenurban second addition; thence east
along the south line of lot 37 a distance
of 40 feet; thence southeasterly on a
tangential curve to the right with a radius
of 142.32 feet, a distance of 128.4 feet;
thence southeasterly on a line tangent to
last described curve, a distance of 6.6
feet to a point in the east line of said
Glenurban second addition, which point
is 59.4 feet south of the southeastern
quarter of lot 38 block 6 in said addition,
all according to a map and plat thereof
on file in the office of the register of
deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minn-
esota.
