The president announced the opening of a public hearing on the
question of sewage connections with the ivietro-Politain Sewage,!,,�
system.
Ir. Moe and Mr Kane spoke in favor of connecting up with the
letropolitan Sewage System. kr Kane stated that he spoke as a
private citizen and not as Village attorney.
A letter from the Golden Valley Civic League Inc. requesting
the Council to have the people vote on the Sewage problem was read
and filed,

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss to adopt the following F
resolution:
Whereas pursuant to reellution duly adopted by the Village
Council of'the Village of Golden Valley duly posted and published
the -Village Council has met at the time and place specified therein
and heard all persons interested in the improvement of Delphian
Heightd 2nd and 3rd units by construction of a sanitary sewage
system now therefor*
Be it resolved that this Council hereby determined not to
ubdertake the improvement proposed in said resolution.

A letter from the Golden Valley Planning Commission recommending
that the Council take an option on 18 acres known as the Foss
Estate) was read and filed.
kr Morgan speaking in behalf of his father and kr Foss voiced
objection to placing the Dronosed fire station on the Foss
property because it would cause devaluation of investments.
Motion by Moe seconded by Weiss that the matter be tabled until
the next meeting

and requesting the Council to adopt a primary system of voting
in the Village elections, was read*

Motion by Moe seconded by the president kr Hanson to adopt the follow
inresolution.
hereas Chapter 179-H.F. No. 7 An act provides for the adoption
of a Primary Election System by Villages of not less than 1400 pop-
ulation, and
Whereas) the Council of the Village of Golden Valley is authorized
to adoptsaid system by a four-fifths vote.
Now therefore be it resolved; By the Council of the Village of Golden
Valley that it adopt said Primary Election System as provided by
the above Chapter 179- H.F. No 7 enacted by the Legislature of the
State of blinninota.

vacate certain streets and alleys's in LIelphian Heights.
No one aDneared even in favor of or in opposition to

Khereas apetition of a majority of the owners of real property fronting

ail alleys and alley right -of ways in Block 2 and Block 32 DelDhain
Heights) Second Units and all alley right-of-ways in Block 1.2p3pand 4
in Delphian Hei ghts third unit)and cross street known as Meadow
Lane in said Delphian Heights) 3rd unit., has been duly filed with the
Council and the Council has met at the time and place specfied in
a notice duly published and posted and has heard all interested
persons and it appears in the interest of the public that said
alley and alley right-of-ways and said street be vacated now t---lerefore
Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley
that all alleys and alley right-of.Qways in Block 2 and Block 31
Delpian Heights 2nd units and all alley right-of-ways in Block ls
2;3)and 4 in Delphian- Heights 3rd unit and Cross street known as

23rd Ave North in Detphian Heights be changed to Scher -Lane.

Be it Resolved by the Village Council'of the Village of Golden
Valley that the name of Subdivision known as Delphian Heights
be and the saa-le is hereby changed to the name Glenview
Terrace.
Be it further resolved that the name of the subdivision known as
Delphian Heights 2nd unit be and the same is hereby changed to
the name Glenview Terrace 2nd unit.
Be it further resolved that the name of the subdivision known as
Delphian Heights 3rd unit be and the same is hereby changed to
the name Glenview Terrace 3rd unit
